Outdoor Explorations provides
inclusivity training to organizations
throughout New England that run outdoor
and recreation programs. Our
aim is to help make their programs
more accessible and welcoming to
people with developmental, sensory,
physical and/or psychiatric disorders.
OE has been working with people in
the disability community for more
than 15 years and has created an
interactive training module that can
be applied to a variety of outdoor
programs found at schools, camps,
universities, community programs
and non-profit organizations.

 |
Outdoor Inclusivity Trainings Include:
- Universal or specific disability
awareness training -- assistance
ranging from how to accommodate
people of all abilities or persons
with a specific type of disability
into outdoor programs
- Experienced outdoor facilitators
- OE's inclusivity training manual
- Lunch can be provided by special
request

"The problem is that accessibility is more than just removing physical barriers. What's
missing are the tools and know-how to extend beyond physical accessibility to full inclusion of
people with disabilities, including training for staff, marketing, and programming areas." --
Michael Muehe, Executive Director of the Cambridge Commission for People with Disabilities and
Outdoor Explorations Board Member.
